The renovation of Rike Hall creates current, flexible classrooms and vibrant student spaces for the University and the Raj Soin College of Business.

The Rike renovation was used as a model to establish a standard for contemporary learning environments.  Considerable thought was given to lighting concepts, furnishings concepts and finishes for classrooms to provide high-level function and flexibility.  Larger 60-and-72-seat tiered classrooms were created using platforms with fixed tables and loose chairs, maintaining a high level of accessibility.

Student spaces and corridors are provided with functional amenities such as seating, display space, and technology connections.  These allow learning to spill out of the classrooms and into all areas.  These public spaces are also provided with a well-designed palette of colors and finishes, creating excitement and interest.

The Dean’s suite is an important part of the renovation project, providing offices, conference rooms and huddle rooms for collaboration.  A new image for the College of Business was provided through this renovation, consistent with the cutting edge programs offered.
